Vamp O’Daddy 2011

March 18, 2011

On this day, where everyone pretends to be Irish (while some of us get the special distinction of actually being so), we celebrate with Motherland’s greatest export.

Sinead O’Connor — singing Jamaican Reggae.

Uh…Okay, enjoy.

more Sinead: on back up dancing and barely audible vocals.

She actually manages to hold her own in this clip. She could have looked like a total arse, but instead she has a real fit with the great soul groove the band is cranking out. And to sing with Sly and Robbie? Holy shit! The bald one gets her props.

In response to the World Party clip, that was my first ever exposure to that group. Not really my cup of tea, but I did like seeing how much the positive message within the song did a lot for other people around the world. That’s fantastic.

But I did love watching Sinead “dance”. And how someone commented on YouTube saying “3:13 – Sinead does the robot. lol”
